Vitamins are classified in two generic categories; vitamins with biological activity, and the ones with chemical activity.
Vitamins can also be subcategorized in families, such as, for example, Vitamin A, which includes nutrients like retinol,retinal and some carotenoids. The biochemical functions of vitamins are diversified. Some vitamins will act as hormones,others as antioxydants, coenzymes, catalysts and others.
Vitamins are essential for the growth of an organism, and humans are no exceptions.
We need a certain daily intake of vitamins to help our body function, grown, digest, etc. While the human body itself will produce certain types of nutrients such as Vitamin K, Biotin and a form of Vitamin B, it is important to ensure that your lifestyle will allow your body to get everything it needs in terms of vitamins and nutrients.
Multivitamins can be a great alternative for people lacking a certain vitamin or wanting to boost their diet. Of course, there is basic caution to be taken when deciding to take multivitamins, as some might not be recommended for people with special conditions, such as pregnant women or heavy smokers.

Hi i agree with it that we just can't get enough vitamins with our daily or limited foods . That's why now a days peoples are using vitamins in tablets form. But before using any vitamin we still have needed a doctor prescribtion . _________________ group health spokane wa |
